Community Tasting Notes 3

October 25, 2020 - After tasting the 2003 with disappointing results, I decided to try the last of the 2004s. A dark fruited, spicy nose. Plums and warm spice on the palate. Bit harsh on the mid-palate. Fully resolved tannins, decent acidity and balance. A bit of heat comes through. Finishes short and undistinguished. Not dead, but I'd drink up. I liked it better than my wife who sent me to the cellar for something else.

September 29, 2006 - Spectacular. Filled up the room in the decanter, with an amazing aroma of spice box and tobacco. Fantastic smooth, long 30 second + finish. Definitely will seek out more.

January 28, 2006 - Chocolate, plum, pepper nose with heat; tasty, plum, pepper palate; medium finish
