  January 30, 2015 - Powerful smoky nose with a little blackcurrant note underneath. Really savoury style, the black fruits are leafy and covered in bloody, smoky flavours. Quite meaty on the finish with a little hint of ripe fruit right at the back of the palate.

  August 6, 2014 - Popped and poured. Synthetic cork. Similar notes to last time, but rounder, fuller, more complex, nice chalky finish. The synthetic cork is unfortunate, as this seems to have what it takes to carry on for a while.

  May 20, 2013 - Ondoorzichtig, volfruitig, lactisch, cassis, munt-kruidigheid, hoge zuren, groenig en een aardse toets, framboos. Cabernet Franc-like. Nog te bewaren. 88+

  March 19, 2012 - I struggled with this one a touch - quite severe tannins and it has a tang about it that you only seem to get with cheaper red wines - kind of alcohol meets very red fruit. I am no averse to more austere and rustic wines, but I'm not sure this is anywhere near as good as the Domaiine Escausses Gaillac which is a very similar style to this.

  VISUEL: rubis, violacé, prune
  OLFACTIF: très expressif, petits fruits acides (canneberges pour les Québécois, Atoca pour les canadiens français et cranberries pour nos amis Français)
  GUSTATIF: Vif, net, frais. Tanins gouleyants. Léger mais agréable avec une persistance sur le fruit.
  ENSEMBLE très bien !
