December 30, 2023 - Outstanding. Age-developed flavor, depth & nuance with enough acidity to provide lively balance. Enough sweetness to make for a great pairing with (medium spiced) Indian food after another good day of Alta skiing. Not low in alcohol but not obtrusive. This is wildly reminiscent of a recently enjoyed 2006 Macvin (du Jura).

October 6, 2022 - Incroyable!

December 24, 2019 - This bottle is on fire. Deep golden color. The nose and palate explode with off-dry apricot nectar. Nearing the dry end of the spectrum, a perfect partner to Chocroute. Long, Long, long long. Incredible. (97)

April 5, 2017 - The Rotating Dinners, I.8: Alsace (Chicago, IL): Served blind, and identified as pinot gris. Oddly enough, this was one of my favourite wines of the evening. This had a darker golden colour, which in my mind seemed to indicate some heavy botrytis here -- there was indeed some of the telltale orange peel and spice flavours on the nose and palate. This is rounded and rich, and although it still has that thick waxy feel, the sugar helps a lot to balance it out.

December 28, 2015 - A fabulous bottle of this wine. Golden color with vibrant nectarine flavors. A little spice as well. Off dry and would be great with cheese. (93)
