November 4, 2023 - PnP, consumed over 90 minutes. A prototypical extracted Cali Syrah without being glorpy. Dark purple. Exotic black fruits on the smoky, savory nose with a hint of oak. Expansive, dense palate with gobs of spicy black fruits and some interesting spices. Long, lush finish with some smoked meat and silky, integrated tannins. Seems to be at peak, but also structured enough to provide a few more years of delicious drinking.

July 7, 2023 - Previously... I misunderestimated this wine. Fully purple floral aromatics & savory Cote Rotie palate... this is on its way to something fabulous. Drink now, or wait 5-10 more years.
Fabulous with pan seared scallop on smoked almond romesco.

June 10, 2023 - Popped and poured, this is drinking quite well with good bottle boquet and ripe syrah characteristics.

January 18, 2023 - Confirm prior note- this wine likes a big glass, or decanting. Showing a little more depth now but still needs 5-6 more years development.

  • Stephen Rash Likes this wine:

August 6, 2022 - Dark garnet in color w/slight bricking at the edge. Great nose of blackberries, raspberries, tar, and violets. Tastes of blackberry, raspberry, violets, and pepper on the palate. Still fresh and vibrant at 12 years. Elegant and polished with integrated tannins.
