June 20, 2021 - The '94 Leone has help up very well, with plenty of intensity and freshness remaining. On the nose, I found dried black fruit, smoke, bacon, and licorice. The palate was medium to full-bodied with smoky black fruit, licorice, a hint of bitter chocolate, and baking spices, with good acidity and freshness remaining. No need to wait, but the wine also seems unlikely to fall off anytime soon.

May 8, 2020 - Cork was perfect. Fill HF. Very spicy, leather, smoke. Nice attack, very full and silky mouthfeel, long sweet finish. Almost perfect!

April 25, 2013 - Complex nose comprising malt, coffee, sweet dried fruit, tobacco. Balanced, with melted tannins and a long sweet finish. The wine is mature and good to drink now.

June 1, 2012 - Le vin est-il fatigué ou reposé ? En tous cas, la fureur a cédé le pas à une forme de sérénité, un peu finissante malgré tout.
