January 4, 2024 - In a much better place than the last bottle. Golden and rich, yes, but with beautifully layered fruit - think apricot and orange tart tatin - in a brown butter cloak. Somehow the more oxidative notes really add complex and interest rather than leaving this sullen. Almost drank link a Vin Jaune from the Jura. I wouldn't experiment with much further ageging, but if you have some Bresse chicken in a morel cream sauce perhaps wait to pair it with that!

June 6, 2021 - Every Good Boy Deserves Cellar Wine 3

94-95: Ahhhh, the benefits of a cellar! We chuckled when this bottle came out and we looked at reviews suggesting peak was several years ago. Hardly. This Chardonnay is just gorgeous. The nose on the pour was slightly reductive, but blew off immediately. The palate had rich, ripe flavors of melon and apple. The oak remains there as a great complement. It finished long and elegant. WOTN? Perhaps, it was that good.

    QPR 7.5 (of 10)

May 12, 2021 - This is waaaayyyy past prime. Very oxidated. However it was more enjoyable on the second day.

December 29, 2020 - Deep golden, this is very mature, but not without interest. Fruit has taken a secondary role, with a nose redolent of tart tatin. Very rich and fat with buerre noisette and toffee, but there is good balance with the acidity and the alcohol is not overpowering. This must have been a beast in its youth.

February 28, 2015 - Sensational pop and pour that shows great youth for a wine approaching 8 years old. Golden color, harmonious balance between fruit and buttery/oaky notes, long finish. Still has strong acid, making it great with food or on its own. Very nice, and still has a couple of years left.
