November 11, 2020 - No extensive notes. Moderate and subdued red fruit (raspberry), with lower acidity and just a hint of funk. Nice but this bottle was somewhat tired tonight and certainly past peak.

July 17, 2020 - No alc on label. Pale and glorious. A great bottle. So light and ethereal of the palate. Gloriously aromatic and a twist of spice in the finish. Compelling. Funny it only gets a WA89 score.

January 25, 2020 - Same btl as R&Rler tonight. Semi translucent red color with bricking. Said to have been splash double decanted & immediately recorked earlier in the day. This was perfectly resolved and "left nothing in the ring" tonight. My clear red of night! An explosion of garrigue and decaying fruit on the nose. Elegant, fading red fruit, damp forest floor, herbs, tobacco leaf and more. Tremendous tertiary depth! Thanks Candice for finding recently and sharing! This btl proves that a few great CDP producers like VT wines can benefit from extended btl age. Worth seeking out some of these from the 90s & 80s.

January 25, 2020 - Making the Most of Dinner Without Dad (Rocknroller's (Kevin & Vicki's Place)): Medium dark red color with an 8mm bricked transitional margin. Splash double decanted and immediately recorked earlier in the day. Drank one glass over an hour plus. For reference, go back and read Keith Aker's note from 3/21/09 for context - he writes a great note on this back then. This was stunning, head turning, gripping. The nose immediately captures your attention, wafting forth in a Provencal perfume of herbs, leather, and delicate spice, pencil, char and tobacco, garrigue, cherry and currant. The palate is beautifully sublime with dried forest floor, pencil herbs, charcoal, bright cherry, leather and elegance. Medium bodied, with resolved tannins and a 30 plus second finish. I loved this!! Thanks Candie for scoring the one bottle available and sharing it.

November 16, 2017 - 89 early on and then 93 for final glass. But a wonky, weird wine.
