June 10, 2019 - This tasting is entirely independent of my 1/3/20198 tasting of the same wine and vintage. This one was vinturied and tasted right afterwards at room temperature (23 degrees C); nose of sour cherries, rhubarb and alcohol; medium to full bodied, notes of cherries, plums and other stone fruits, plus citrus; very different from the bottle I reviewed in January 2019, which leads me to believe that the first bottle was flawed. This one had tannins that were well balanced with the fruit (as one would expect after 10 years' cellaring!); pair with any kind of red meat, especially lamb; medium finish cries out for a good meal to go with it

January 3, 2019 - 13.6% alcohol, real cork, medium to heavy-weight foil; medium legs, red/brown; nose of alcohol, cherries, pears; vinturied and tasted at ca 12 degrees C; the tasting was a big disappointment, considering the winery's reputation and the wine's other reviews up to now; the taste can only be described as if the tannins were simply subtracted from the mix, resulting in a mineral water with a fruit spritz -- not sparkling, just tasteless; the finish was medium at best

November 27, 2018 - Blackberry, raspberry, plum, cherry and sweet baking spices. Tasty with our grilled Scottish salmon and with the wild rice in chicken broth. Not as good a pairing with the lamb tikka. Drink now

January 11, 2018 - Another solid Lange pinot noir. Good nose followed by balanced black berry and plum fruit. Pleasing fruit.

September 30, 2017 - Deep red medium wine with surprising low alcohol (13.6%). Full nose followed by a big mouthful of plum, blackberry fruit. Outstanding finish that was surprisingly long - 5+ seconds.
