April 9, 2021 - Good. After about 4 hours, this was in a better place, which was surprising since it seemed way past its prime upon opening (and at cellar temp). Simple, but pleasant. Light-medium weight, sour cherry on the palate. It could use more acidity.

January 6, 2017 - This is a unique wine. Many have described flawed bottles and may perfectly have been so, but I think the nose and palate of this 11 year old 12% alcohol wine are different than most drinkers are accustomed to. Our bottle is clearly reaching the end of its lifespan but was not flawed, just expressing a more unique and pleasurable nose of rose and candied fruit with less fruit on the palate and past its prime in terms of balance. Not a great wine but not unpleasant. 87.
