February 4, 2015 - Juicy dark fruits, dark earth, some funk, and Asian spices. Juicy dark red fruit, but not overripe, in the mouth. Decent acid for the warmer 2009 vintage. Nice balance and a relatively smooth though not silky texture. Light tannins come in and help carry the finish.
On opening this wine displayed a sense of energy or vibrancy that seemed to dissipate after 45 minutes. The wine didn't necessarily "drop off" as they say, but I take this as a sign to crack 'em if you got 'em. No benefit to waiting. -

November 10, 2013 - This has funk and bright juicy red food on the nose. On the palate it is rich and a bit sweet but juicy and enjoyable. A reflection of the vintage if there ever was one, but still a quality wine that doesn't come off as hot or flawed. I don't see any reason to wait on these unless you are looking to save some for a vertical down the road
