November 27, 2021 - Drinking very well, paired with duck breast and root vegetables. Decanted 20 mins before starting. Smooth, deep, redolent of cherries, blackberries and, light leather tones. No sign of being tired a number of years still to go.

July 27, 2020 - Decanted 30 minuites before serving with grilled chicken. As good as the Gravelly Meadow we had earlier in the week. Flavors were well integrated and tannins were quite smooth. A solid core of dark fruit with traces of spice from front to back.

September 14, 2018 - This seemed to be at its peak to me. Gorgeous full nose of cedar, some tobacco, and red and black fruit. Full body with massive flavor on the tongue but beautifully balanced with no heat or harshness. Long smooth finish. Drank at dinner, opened, decanted and poured. Paid off immediately. A special, memorable wine.

March 30, 2018 - Complex nose of dark plum, dark cherry, blackcurrant. Fruits are wrapped in layers of charred wood, bonfire, hickory, barbecue sauce, iodine, and degrading batteries. Liqorice component on the palate. Despite the dark and brooding nature of the aroma and palate profile, it remains bright and fresh from the medium+ acid and the prominent, but fine-grained, tannins. I prefer this to the Red Rock from the same vintage and even more so than the Red Rock, I can’t think of anything to really compare this to. Exceptional.
