June 25, 2022 - Drank from magnum. This was in really good shape. Still so fresh and primary, but this shows a bit more restraint and resolution from my last bottle. I really enjoyed it and am happy with how it has matured.

May 29, 2022 - Drank over two days. Rich, good weight to the mouthfeel without being too heavy, black cherry, faint anise. Drinking well now, I see no upside in holding longer.

September 7, 2019 - Magnum, well stored for ~6 years. Tiny bit of decay in the cork but looked fine overall. Hint of sulfur upon opening, blew off quickly. Vibrant aromas of blueberry, bacon, anise. Similar flavor profile; medium-plus body, medium-plus finish, nice freshness and well integrated tannin. Went quite well with grilled steak and barbecue sauce. Well within its drinking window but again this was a magnum.

January 13, 2019 - Big and jammy at first but settled down with air. Dark fruit, prunes with a touch of lingering spice. Enjoyable but not what I typically look for in a wine.
