  May 1, 2017 - Lovely Nerello, from 70-100 year old vines. Aromas of anise, strawberries, leather, tar, burnt toast, and prunes. Very delicate and lithe on the palate with a lovely flourish of chalky tannin underscoring the finish. Flavours and aromas are mostly quite tertiary, with some thinking the fruit had faded entirely. I don't agree, I think this is developed beyond what I expected perhaps, but still has plenty of life and fruit substance to the palate.

  January 28, 2015 - Subdued and light nose of red fruit and roses. Quite Burgundian in nature. Coats the palate with flavors of strawberry and cherry. Nice acidity holds it all in check. A great Mascalese to pair with white meats. Would repurchase.

  August 15, 2013 - Beautiful and delicate nose of red berries : raspberry, redcurrant, cherry. Perfumed notes of flowers. Typical Etna wines' aromas of smoke, dried herbs. Deep and very transparent nose.
  The mouth is in the following. Delicate with vibrant acidity. The tanins are very fine and integrated. Explosion of red fruit towards the end with salivating finish that last and last.
  A delicate expression of Nerello Mascalese from northern Etna. Stunning !!
