November 3, 2011 - Dark, dark purple in the glass. Very well balanced, with a touch of acidity, lending freshness. Nose showing rose petals, roasted meat. Mouthfeel is round, with a well placed, but not obnoxious tannins. Not quite mouth puckering, but providing a firm backbone. Strawberry, brown sugar dominate. The finish is measured in minutes, not seconds. This is delicious now, but will mellow, harmonize and simply scream in two or three years.
