June 11, 2011 - Animale, blueberries and oak on the nose. Initial palate is tight, not giving up much. The mid-palate opens up somewhat showing good fruit, but there's an underlying tartness that is a little annoying. Drying tannins and maybe a little steminess dominate the back palate. There's lots of pepper and vanilla on the finish. Paid $13.00 for this bottle, not bad for the price - nothing fancy, maybe a little one-dimensional but still, decent juice. Despite my rather harsh assesment, for the price, I would buy more.
