Community Tasting Notes 5

    January 29, 2017 - Smoke on nose.

Smooth palate, rounded silky tannins with soft acidity. Spiciness and savoury notes on finish. Tannins linger, loganberries emerge

November 7, 2015 - Smokey damson on nose
Soft; lots of spice spreading and lingering to a dusty smooth tannin finish
    Fully mature, nicely integrated

June 23, 2013 - Decanted (glugged) before drinking with lamb lyonnaise and then brie.

Beautiful nose of dark smoky fruit with follow up of cigar box

On palate, intense flavours, supple tannins and PV coming through to add a darker touch. Soft, silky mouthfeel.

Beautiful match both to lamb and Brie

February 14, 2013 - Strong on the finish but although10% Cab Franc it was not obvious. This had a peppery but a very good rounded wine with strong friut coming through. I like Dan's work.

February 9, 2013 - Big, powerful and dark; washington merlot tannins and rich fruit abound. A couple more years should see it tamed
