January 30, 2018 - Italian Wine Night in Philadelphia (Union League Club's Cellar 62): I have had other bottles of this that were very good even fairly recently, but sadly this one was not...moderately oxidized and/or way past its prime. For a 15+ year old this wine looked quite healthy on first pouring, it was a nice deep lemon yellow color. But the nose gave an immediate sniff of oxidation along with roasted nuts, cigar tobacco and petrol. On the palate this was barely drinkable...no one finished their glass. I was very disappointed, especially since this was the only other white wine we had for the evening and we were having a white fish course...doubly disappointed...
