May 16, 2022 - Party at Old Holland.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
Nose is clan, medium+ intensity, with aromas of expressive fungal forest floor undergrowth, tertiary earth, stony mineral, black cherry, dark red cherry. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of tertiary earth, stony minerality, ripe red cherries, red plums, integrated oak spice, faded black cherries. mushrooms. Long finish.
Very good quality. Good mouth-feel. Evidently everybody loved this and lapped it all up easily.

January 7, 2021 - Solid showing...pretty nose of dark and red fruits, florals, black tea, spice (cinnamon), gevrey earth and touch of animale...oak has fully integrated and it's displaying well balanced, medium bodied flavors, which include dark cherries, raspberries, sweet spices, and meat consomme, all wrapped in a silk robe. In a word, beautiful.

March 1, 2019 - Definitely needs a decant (I had thought less necessary for DL’s 2000s). With air, a reasonably liqueur like texture characteristic of his wines, strong CSJ character. I had hoped for a bit more though and certainly does not match up to the tip top Mazis Cuvee B from 2000 ***1/2-****

December 5, 2018 - Has a deep red colour with no obvious brown, ever so slightly corked, full in the mouth but a touch weak behind which I’ve noticed a bit with Laurent wines.

August 3, 2012 - Great stuff, but not terribly Burgundy. Gorgeous nose wafts out on opening. A little spice and red fruit, yet delicate and wonderfully refined. Palate is more of the same. Blind I would have guessed Chateau Rayas. Make of that what you will. Drink now.
