April 21, 2024 - A Bandol in its prime. Mellow earthy tones, signature Domaine Tempier finish. Kermit was right, this is a wine with soul. Enjoyed with dinner at home of a wine collector and his wife.

July 11, 2022 - Ruby color. Bark, brambly fruit, and eventually some spice. Medium weight, kept on adding texture as it opened. Mostly black fruit, brown spice, quite peppery, just at the edge of ripeness, excellent balancing acidity and a good hit of tannin on the back end. Completely clean, still youthful, but unwinding very nicely in the glass. An excellent Tempier showing no overripeness during this warm year.

April 10, 2022 - Red and black fruit in front of a broad core with forest floor, tobacco and layer cake notes. Finishes with tannin and acidity. Integration is there but also there's still room to run... drank next to a 2009 Barbaresco and this was the more youthful wine, still vibrant. Deep, dark, dense, delicious.

December 12, 2021 - Tempier tasting and lunch (Restaurant Rijsel, Amsterdam, NL): Magnum. Powerful but refined, rich and full bodied, spicy depth, creamy and rich, beautifully enveloped tannins, very good length.

February 7, 2021 - Red and black fruit up front, moving smoothly through a lighter, earthy and baking spice dominated core with fresh acidity and good tannin... solid structure... this is really beautiful. Glad I have 1 bottle left.
