August 21, 2017 - Cork was in very good shape but wine was very slightly dark suggesting it might be oxidized. And so it is. Only slightly, and not enough to hide its great quality but enough that I declined to rate it.

March 25, 2016 - Lovely Cali Chard. Almost noteworthy for what it is not. Not particularly oaky, Not particularly buttery,. Some residual acidity. Lovely nose of appley melon with an emphasis on pear. Flavors reflect the nose Showing its age nicely! Probably near its peak.

December 7, 2015 - Outstanding, and really showing some nice nuance as it's aged.

February 9, 2015 - I feel I got lucky on this bottle. Color was a little dark and concerned me. Aroma was good but very very lightly sherried, Flavors were wonderful but with a tiny touch of oxidized earthiness. This bottle was just barely beginning to show the signs of bottle failure. So subltle that the "flaw" was arguably a minor asset. But I am sure glad I decided to open it now for it was clearly headed down!

March 24, 2014 - Oh my! This is lovely!

Relatively dark, intense color for a chardonnay - a rich, golden yellow. Nose of white peach, brown sugar, minerals, and acid. Initial taste of white peach, followed by apricot and vanilla, slowly evolving to acid and light oak. Lovely! Very interesting and sophisticated. And, lovely! As the wine warmed and we reached the end butter creme, and honey, and butterscotch flavors emerged. Lovely!
