May 22, 2017 - Tasted next to 2001 Saint Domingue - quite different in style, less concentration here, more lift and grip. Still quite rich with good concentration of fruit. Good length. A little bitter and angular towards the finish. 90-92

October 25, 2016 - Fully mature, medium bodied, soft in texture, with fresh, red cherry and plum tones, mocha, earth and licorice. There is no reason to age this any longer. It is fully ready to go.

September 22, 2011 - - Garnet color and has flavours of cloves, burnt toast and dusty.

July 22, 2009 - Decanted for 4 hours. Luscious plush red velvet semi-translucent colour. Perfumed nose of lush ripe black plums and violets. with some warm black tar at the back. Velvety, mouthcoating and very fruit-forward palate of sweet black and red fruits framed in attractive restrained oak and good but mellow tannic structure with some caramel aftertones. This has opened consierably since I last drank a bottle and it is now a very attractive, fruit forward and easily enjoyed claret. Not much complexity or length. I suspect this is at near to its peak drinking window as it is the fruit that gives it its charm.

December 27, 2008 - Drank over a long lazy afternoon. Better than last time I drank it, probably because it has had 10 months to settle in the cellar. Still a very deep red translucent colour. Atractive but lightweight Pomerol nose. Fruit forward on the palate but quite tannic on an old-fashioned Bordeaux manner and marred by some green undertones. Not much length. Would probably be better with food.
