October 30, 2018 - Possibly a victim of heat during storage. No fruit, cooked and other off-flavors, but one can taste the excellence of the inherent structure.

September 6, 2018 - Beautiful dark purple. Ready to drink. Decent acidity helped make sure the jammy notes weren't overpowering. Nicely balanced. I don't drink enough Malbec to know whether I could have picked this out blind, but it seemed to have several New World Malbec hallmarks, most notably blackberry fruit with some chocolate accents.

June 14, 2014 - PnP and drank over course of 5 hours. Nice bouquet of red cherry, tobacco, spice and cedar. Palate was reticent and tannic at first, softening only a bit while it breathe. Flavors of cherry, herbs, earth (which grew with more air), dark licorice and a trace of tomato. Very dry, full-bodied, formidable tannins intermingled with an acidic cut, little astringency and a clean, yet clipped fnish. An earthy red with a New World touch. (89+)

June 19, 2011 - This wine has a deep dark, inky purple color to it, it is a heavy bodied Malbec with 14.5% alcohol. This wine has tremendous potential, but it was opened too young. After about 6 hours of decanting, it has an incredible nose of floral aromas, graphite/mineral/pencil shavings , blueberry pie, casssis and cigar. It tastes of mineral, blueberry pie, cigar, cassis, cola, and dark fruits. There are other aromas and flavors going on this wine that I can not quite identify, but when everything comes together and this wine hits its peak, this will be a serious WOW wine! This wine needs at least 3 more years in the cellar, it has a great future ahead of it. For the aging window, I am going to say wait 3 years(2014), this wine will be at its best between 2014 to 2019. Very, very impressive. Wow, all I know is I am going to buy a few more bottles to put down.
