November 3, 2018 - Oxidized, had that petrol, fermented honey issue. Would have otherwise been delicious.

December 17, 2016 - Nose of apricot and butterscotch, leading to caramel apple on the palate. Slightly bitter finish. Quite enjoyable with some light Greek food.

September 2, 2016 - Wax, custard, butterscotch, and honeysuckle married with intense citrus. Savory undertones. Really good.

Sources vary on the percentages of semillon and sauvignon blanc. Many sources say 80% sauvignon blanc, 20% semillon; other sources say 20% sauvignon blanc, 80% semillon; and still other sources propose different combinations. My own impression is that semillon is dominant, but that is probably because semillon is much heavier than sauvignon blanc, not because semillon is present in a higher percentage. I think 80% sauvignon blanc, 20% semillion is probably about right.

August 6, 2016 - Lovely creamy nose, wild honey, good acidity, minerals and good balance in the mouth but blown away by the 2011 Ch Tours cdr Blanc

June 19, 2016 - I bought this to evaluate it as a wedding white wine. I'm not a fan of young Sauvignon Blanc, so I may be biased. For me, this wine was drunk too young. It tasted like a very typical Pessac Blanc with grassy Sauvignon Blanc notes dominating, along with peach, grapefruit, lemon, and candlewax. As I usually find, the Sauvignon Blanc "cat's pee" quality was not nearly as strong as in a New Zealand wine or certain Napa Sauvs, which was good. I didn't notice the Semillon much. On the palate, I got green apple, citrus notes, and noticeable acidity. Cleary this wine has no issues and was a perfectly well done white Bordeaux, but neither was I excited about it. Perhaps it will develop well with time because it has the verve and intensity, but for now, it's for those who like young Sauvignon Blanc more than me.
