  July 24, 2012 - Very nice wine here. Cherry is the main focus, with a little raspberry, tobacco, & some minerality. It's certainly fruit forward, but well balanced & not disjointed in the least. Had over several days, & was consistent from night to night. 88-89 pts.

  March 7, 2012 - A nice garnet color, with a little fading at the edges. Nose of brown sugar and a slightly charred oak barrel. Smells much like a barrel room. Medium mouthfeel with supportive but shy tannins. Tastes much like a Grenache with bright fruit flavors. Finish is medium. The fruit lingers, but dissipates too much to rank this wine any higher. The fruit seems to be muted, and this bottle is not that old. Liked it, just didn't love it.

  December 5, 2011 - Not my favorite Cali Barbera, but not too bad a value. Still pleasant and well worth drinking.

  July 11, 2011 - Fruit forward with notes of plum, raspberry, and cherries. Oak is present in aftertaste. Not much acidity or complexity, but a nice enough quaff. Paired well with BBQ ribs.

  July 7, 2011 - Note basically as before, this time pairing well with farfalle pasta with spicy marinara and Italian sausage. Very youthful and could very well age a few years.
