April 25, 2024 - highlight of the night.... cannot fault this shiraz for it's full body, rounded mouthfeel, lingering finish and sweet peppery berry sweetness...

  • DugyDog Likes this wine: 94 points

March 3, 2024 - Deep, dark, brambly black fruit with some black pepper and eucalyptus notes. Surprisingly resolved tannins and alcohol not at all sense given the 15.4% on the label

August 26, 2021 - A mouthful of a port like wine , with spine . Deep purple color , lots of alcohol. Nice juice.

April 28, 2021 - Dark ink withtouch of brick on rim

Unmistakable Barossa nose of bacon sweet berries and eucalyptus

Long and smooth, but noticeably older feel than last bottle

March 27, 2021 - 95-96 Bought 4 years ago from Wine Direct, back when they had an insane collection of old Ozzie wines, before they closed down are were resurrected to a more (seemingly) reliable and stable business model.

My palate has changed dramatically in 4 years, but this is undeniably delicious. Immensely concentrated but harmonious. Elegant for 15.4%. Blackcurrant, rosemary, floppy peppered bacon, heather, old leather. Acid and med+ tannins offer perfect structure. Sublime, could age another decade at least.
