  Description: Pale yellow to sandy in colour this Pinot Grigio delights with its flowery bouquet of herbs, ripe fruits like pear, peach as well as melon and present itself full bodied, round, creamy and elegant in the mouth with lingering aftertaste.
  
  Food pairing: Goes well with all sorts of appetizers, fish dishes and South Tyrolean specialities
  
  Grape varieties: 100% Pinot Gris
  
  Vineyard location: South - southeast-facing vineyards in the plain of Margreid; hillside vineyards at Kurtatsch (210 – 350 m a.s.l.)
  
  Soil: Chalk gravel moraine soil at Kurtatsch, sandy alluvial soil at Margreid
  
  Growing system: Pergola and guyot; 3,500 / hectare
  
  Yield: 40 - 55 hl / hectare
  
  Age of vines: Up to 12 years
  
  Vinification: Fermented at a constant temperature and maturation in large oak casks for 6 months; malolactic fermentation not carried out; 30% aged in stainless steel tanks
  
  Barrels: Stainless steal tank, big oak cask
  
  Serving suggestion: 10 – 12 °C
  
  Ageing potential: 4 - 5 years

  in der Nase Feuerstein, wie Silvesterrakete nach dem Start.
  am Gaumen frisch, spritzig, mit lebendiger Säure, Steinobst, zarte Fruchtsüße;
  mittellanger, harmonischer Abgang.

  September 1, 2010 - Great wine. Silvery/greenish in its flavours. A little spicy, a little fruity, a little minerally. Nice alternative to white Burgundy.
