July 22, 2023 - Had a second bottle of this - consistent with the previous bottle, though I did not decant this time around. This one had some bricking around the edges, and a dominant green bell pepper/vegetal nose and taste. Unpleasant to drink. On day two it was significantly better, but it's still just past it's prime.

June 14, 2023 - Nothing at all on the nose upon opening; opened up more throughout the evening in the decanter. Overall this was a nice and interesting wine, full bodied and mature. However, each sip left me feeling like it was a lot better a few years ago - definitely on the decline. By the end of the evening the nose and flavor profile were dominated by green bell pepper. Still a very good bottle of wine, but at least this bottle was just past its prime.

January 26, 2022 - very dark red, dark berry/cherry nose, earthy but floral berry fruit, lots of cola, medium weight, lengthy finish. This wine has aged well. Very good match with grilled lamb chops.
