December 24, 2013 - Continues to settle wonderfully well. Almost plush red fruits with a stony tinge. Mild astringency. Perhaps the best aged Bendigo wine I've tasted?

April 10, 2012 - Very good drinking. Wonderfully plush early with soft plummy fruits, super friendly, deeply aromatic and deeply fruited. Some acid and astringency came through later but the early fruit has me. Drink to at least 2013.

July 10, 2011 - The aromas had me worried this was another stressed 2003 Central Vic red; heavy red berries lacking lift. However this really evolved into being quite a smart wine. The can franc appears to have done wonders giving the palate some lift and freshness with a flowerly, violet, minty note. Some terrior talking here as well. There's no denying this is on the big and ripe side but appears to have pulled it off. Another example of how adding cab franc never ever detracts from a blend. Pushed the drinking window out a few years.
