September 22, 2022 - Grapes for Great Causes: Older SQN and SE Flight ‘06-‘09 (Les Nomades Chciago): Lighter color (albino), lively on the palate, floral notes, lots of life left, Hold/Drink. My#2 Grp#3

August 6, 2022 - An incredibly beautiful older white wine. The nose exploded from the glass with waves of honeysuckle, hazelnuts, apricots, some orange zest and more flowers. Gorgeous silky mouthfeel and a finish that lasts nearly a minute. Wonderful stuff and glad it stood the test of time. N

    May 1, 2022 - 40% Chard, 46% Rousanne 14% Viognier
Huge big rich wine. Full bodied, real depth of flavour, like a Chave Hermitage Blanc. Lots of oak vanilla. Long and complex. Drink now.

March 27, 2021 - Cannot add to the flavor profile offered from previous reviews as they are spot on. First tasted in 2010, then 2014, 2017 and tonight

While many discussed Manfred with me before 2010, not until having this then did I appreciate how different he was as a winemaker. This is profound winemaking. Who combines these grapes? I have long been surprised how little appreciated this wine is. We compared it tonight vs 1998 Backward and Forward and 2000 The Boot. Same vineyards, same grapes, slightly different percentages. Some combination of 2001 climate and additional Roussanne v the others, with its acidity make this clearly the winner.
I have tried almost everyone one of SQN whites and I welcome commentary which one is better then Albino

(Sine Qua Non Albino) Lovely Viognier, honeysuckle and floral nose; super concentrated, great structure, with tangy, multilayered citrus and vanilla flavors tending toward oak on the long finish (46% Chardonnay, 40% Roussanne, and 14% Viognier)
