August 22, 2018 - 93-94 Very earthy with sous bois and mushroom, fairly dense red fruit, good acidity, quite masculine, drinking great.

January 25, 2018 - Excellent. Blossomed beautifully by 2 hours. At first showing the earthy, minerally Nuits Saint Georges character. After opening up it showed the prettier, perfumed qualities of being so close to Vosne. Great complexity. Plenty of life left here. 5-10 more years at least if stored well but you can certainly drink it now if you'd like.

February 19, 2016 - Great showing. I'd totally forgot having had this before but it's definitely reached another plane. Needs maybe a half hour to come together. Then it's a classic bottle in an early stage of maturity, the tannin nicely melted in and the material still fleshy but mostly moved on from fruit to pure earthiness - it's full of gravel and gunsmoke with a sappy, sticky grip. A very classic expression of Boudots of the sort with the emphasis more on the stone than the spice.

November 24, 2014 - Super-classy wine. Lean and silky in texture, but with deep black-fruited flavors. Still hasn't unfurled what ought to come with age, but it's not closed, either, since the structure is almost lacy and there's plenty of fruit intensity despite its sleek proportions.

July 14, 2014 - Consumed in honor of Bastille Day. I was hesitant but double decanted it off it's sediments and it stood up to it.
    - The nose has red & black cherry, notes of blood & wonderful tertiary notes.
    - The flavors of red & dark cherry and blue notes along with nice tertiary flavors and minerality all balance wonderfully. The acidity is good and ties it all together well.

It may not have the depth of grand cru but it was a wonderful premier cru that was a pleasure to drink.
