December 16, 2008 - Fantastic wine. Perfect. The nose is massive yet super-filigree. Loads of strawberry and redcurrant mixed with leather, tobacco and cedar. Full-bodied on the palate. Very firm stature. Oily. Licorice notes, mushrooms, earthy nuances. Marmalade. Finish...seems endless. A little smoky, liquorice again, tobacco notes.

The nose is chalky with loads of volatile acidity, bright violets. Mmm, some smokiness comes out with time. Holy crap, what a palate!!!! This is the real stuff, quirky and yet seamless, surprisingly vibrant and amazingly precise. Wow, what an eye opener!
