October 13, 2020 - Still very good, perhaps better than my last tasting. Well balanced, it could last for years. What a bargain!

July 14, 2019 - 1. Mix strawberries, pineapple and lime zest.
    2. Dust with cinnamon
    3. Add a pinch of salt
    4. Connect electrical cables
    5. Turn on the power
    6. Drink

April 22, 2017 - This is awesome wine. Bright acid and dense ripeness consistent with the vintage. this has great balance. plan to wait another decade to try again.

December 24, 2016 - chefdilletante's tasting notes match my experience, although I didn't get as much acidity. Drink now for balance, versatility, and satisfaction, or wait for something deeper and wiser.

    November 27, 2014 - Big, musky/pungent, intense, lime-flesh/lime-oil, red & white-cherry, lavender, & violet. Beautifully clean apricot-y Botrytis. Creamy/slatey, nectarine & nectarine-skin, with a saline/mineral intensity.
Finish & aftertaste is musky apricot, lime-flesh/zest.
Great acidity - drinks like a big Spatlese, but I'm sure it's bordering on BA.
Love the balance - 10.5% ABV - high acidity & RS.
Big, elegant, complex, intense, & Beautiful!

(Merkelbach Ürziger Würzgarten Riesling Auslese) ($26.00) A delirium of spice here! Peppermint and kiwi and scorched slate, a surmise of strawberry beneath an iridescent avalanche of spice and mint and slate.*
