March 26, 2024 - Boston Wine & Poker, Brookline, NH: Tasted blind. No doubt this is port. On the sweet side. Lots of caramel. A suggestion of bubblegum. The alcohol is fully integrated -- there is no heat. Completely drinkable now. From Philip's cellar.

November 30, 2023 - Just a few drops. Tasted separately during a whole week. Always classic, a confort rich, solid and reliable stuff. Interesting aftertaste, not as much sweet as some are pretending.

Solo unas gotas. Catado por separado durante toda una semana. Siempre clásico, un confort rico, sólido y fiable. Un regusto interesante, no tan dulce como algunos pretenden.

November 18, 2023 - FTLOP 18th Anniversary; 11/17/2023-11/19/2023 (Seattle, Washington): Classic older Taylor Vintage Port hue with a dark ruby center transitioning to pink edges. Initially subtle, I coaxed out notes of chocolate and subtle mint on the nose. The palate delivers a rich, intense, and complex flavor profile featuring chocolate, cinnamon, and baking spices, ending in a wonderful, long finish.

September 2, 2023 - Spicy, mature nose. Red fruit and mineral. Flowers and airy. Very, very elegant, but perhaps a bit too tender.
Medium-fullish, mature palate. Spicy, elegant and balanced. Fresh and nutty. Long finish.
Ready to drink, and the elegant style would makes me think this will not benefit from further cellaring.

August 11, 2023 - Guys' Port Weekend - Seattle; 8/11/2023-8/13/2023 (Seattle, Washington): Amber in color with slight pink hues on the edges. Red fruit compote and chocolate notes on the nose. The intense mouthfeel showcases Bing cherry and dark chocolate, though a slight bitterness on the finish detracts from the overall experience. Overall this wine feels slightly disjointed. Good components but they just don't come together in the right way.
