August 1, 2018 - Burgundy Dinner with Friends (Aba - Chicago IL): Mature red cherry aromas and flavors with savory Asian five spice. As much earth as fruit, with a bit of funk, I would suggest this is best enjoyed over the next few years. Good weight and length.

July 11, 2017 - My Pinot Birthday Celebration 2017 (Kallang Way Extra Space): Tasted blind. Pop and poured. Drank from bottle over 2 hours.
Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour with garnet edge. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of stony minerality, blood iron, earth, violets, baby powder, dark red cherries. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13%), firm medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of dark red cherries, stony minerality, earth, sweet spices, blood iron. Long finish.
Very good quality. I was guessing a 2002 Clos de la Roche. On hindsight, good Vosne spice and Malconsorts fruit. Time to drink up and enjoy. Sometimes some of these off-vintage Burgs can offer lots of enjoyment too.

October 17, 2015 - Another Saturday at Chevalier...Mostly Blind (Chevalier Fine Wines - Chicago IL): Served double blind to the tasting group. I tasted this 3 or 4 times over the course of two hours. Mature red cherry throughout with equal amount of reduced mushroom and savory spice. Moderate concentration, better textures. Better than I recall from another bottle from the same case from 2-3 years ago, but I doubt there is further upside from here.

September 8, 2014 - Good color, a bit of fading. The nose is open, but a bit lightweight showing aromas of black raspberry, minerals, black tea and flowers. This is medium full bodied on the palate, with very good concentration and good finesse. The longish finish shows slightly unripe tannins and just enough acidity.

September 5, 2013 - Popped and poured. Mature red and black cherry aromas with some dark chocolate hints. Balance of the same ripe and mature fruit flavors with earthy elements, nicely supported with good minerality, even if not much acidity. A little bit of Brett or some other slightly barnyardy element is a little more prominent than I'd prefer.
