October 20, 2023 - Total pleasure, upon pulling the cork until downing the last few drops.

The perfume commanded attention. Indeed, one could linger over the glass for a long, pleasant while. All as it should be, and more.

Evocative and powerful! The wine graces and coats the entire palate. It changes inflection beautifully, providing striking nuance. The finish knows no quit.

At 16 years, still young. This bottle had a decade plus of evolution ahead of it. Likely to peak after 2035 and hold for several years. 95-97.

July 19, 2022 - I tried, but I couldn't hold onto the last one any longer. My last bottle showed a some signs of tiredness, so I was worried about leaving this too long and the previous one was so good. And of course this bottle was fabulous with plenty left in the tank. Long decant, epic floral nose and deep rich Nebbiolo fruit. Tannins are perfectly balanced with smoky savoury fruit flavours and a hint of sweet cherries for good measure. Bang in the drinking window.

August 5, 2021 - Off the list at La Cena in Jax. I’m not totally convinced on this wine. It’s still quite young tasting and to me seemed extra oaky. A bit hotter. I wonder if it would soften down with some more years, but as it is it’s a big wine and a bit too much.

May 29, 2021 - Second last bottle of this fantastic example of Nebbiolo. Still takes plenty of air - I gave it around four hours in a decanter. Still very aromatic in a nice big Pinot glass with a hint of oxidisation. This pretty much below off to reveal fruit that was perhaps a little darker and richer in profile than my last bottle (which was up there with the best). Long lingering finish and a wine that was enjoyed by all at my birthday dinner. Perhaps slightly entering its descent for me at 15 years old but I do like Nebbiolo a little younger than some so will drink the last bottle over the next couple of years.
