  October 12, 2016 - A rich & vivacious package yet balance with licorice, 'toffee-smoky' sweetness on aroma. A friend claim it came with oaky/woody with hints of chocolate. Good body with mid-hard tannin. Liking the welcoming complexity. 2009 at its peak plateaus has an warmer tone of red.

  August 26, 2013 - Flight 2, USA, Wine 6 (blind): The wine was dark ruby in colour and offered an expressive nose of ripe, jammy fruit, dark berries, dark cherry, damson and lots of spices. On the palate the round, full-bodied wine showed dark berries, damson, spices and a hint of tea, plus blood orange on the finish, paired with medium-plus acidity, medium-level tannin and very good length. Solid.
