December 26, 2012 - Very nice wine, but a touch out of balance for me. I was hoping for a little more mineral presence to balance the blockbuster fruit. With re-tasting, over-the-top perfume-florals present on the palate; a little soapy flavor and a touch oily extraction, but might be the extreme of the lychee. I would change my expectations of how to serve this wine. Instead of trying to pair this with a full meal, where it competed and over-powered to dishes, a simple terrine or cheese course pairing might be the best way to enjoy.

June 8, 2012 - Super Gewurtz. Floral nose, tree fruit on the palate with lychee. Had with sushi.

April 12, 2012 - Not as impressed with the 2010 harvest as I was with '08 and '07, seems a little sterile in comparison and needs some time to get those juices flowing. Still a wonderful Wiemer and definitely one of the best, zestiest NW Gewurz wines out there. Grapefruit zest, green pepper and apple, and lime oils and zest. Slightly syrupy lychee flavors, though not cloying. Dying for some more floral flavors, though. Minty and fresh with kind of a murky structure. Again, needs time, but not bad at all.

April 8, 2012 - Great mouth feel. Full body with lots of nice leachy fruit nose and flavors. I really like what Oskar is doing with this wine. It is quite ripe and nice finish unlike many of the Gewurztraminer's in this area which are often green and peppery. Wine is very smooth and well balanced, if you want to try a very good representation of this wine from the Seneca region, you should try this one.

January 19, 2012 - The finger lakes are great for these kinds of whites!

Medium straw color with a hint of green. Terrific aroma with some complexity, I can't even pick all of it up! Definitely floral, with some apple and pear going on as well. Acidity is just right, pretty good balance and the finish is sweet and of medium length. I'm really enjoying this wine right now!
