  January 6, 2019 - Way past its drinking window. No fruit left. A lot of liquorish on the palate. Weird dark purple plastic cork used in 2003.

  April 9, 2017 - Another B&H, another big muscular wine. Leather, cedar, darkest fruits. Some tobacco, balsamic, smoke. Cloudy with clingy legs; violet-brown. One of the better label offerings I've had recently, but clearly in the same ilk as the other two dozen drunk. Has several years left.

  September 4, 2016 - Deep inky-purple(opened in dim light) and massive droopy legs. Concentrated jammy black and blue fruits - blueberry pie, blackberry liqueur, strap leather. The palate was dusty a bit earthy(not in a barnyard way) and loads of umami, with a long dry earthy finish-cedar box and graphite. as it opened up more notes were revealed- a cranberry brightness peaked through, and later menthol. Luscious and rich, but not hot. Med minus tannin, med+ alc. very complex wine as we've come to expect from Behrens.
