August 30, 2020 - Sunday hangout (socially distanced) (Chicago, IL): Pretty impressive for its age and level. A little hint of green on the palate, but overall nice freshness and minerality. Not complex, but captures the essence of Chablis quite well.

February 13, 2019 - animal note on opening but then it blew off after 10-20min. This bottle was in great shape for its age ! wow for a village this is well worth its price.

  • Cote d'Or Likes this wine:

    May 24, 2018 - Tasted over 2 hrs
    -translucent light/med gold
-low-key Chablis sea water citrus with a waxy lanolin apple overlay
-barely med acidity, med weight but good depth on the simple side but soft full stony citrus intermingled with faint oxidative caramel note and waxy apple
-in wonderful shape for its age this is humming along just fine even if it is on a slow decline, minimal oxidation and what one would expect for a 14 year old Chablis, enjoying this more than the 2013 version tasted yesterday and this bottle is doing a little better than one tasted two years ago

November 12, 2017 - Some blinds and non-blinds (Chicago, IL): This had been open from the day before, but I didn't find that to have adversely affected this wine at all. In fact, it was fairly expressive and open, with some sweet pears and other waxy characteristics. On the other hand, the acidity and minerality all spoke clearly of Chablis, and I was actually surprised to find that this felt a lot more full-bodied than would be expected for the level.

May 7, 2017 - Golden yellow colour, typical whiff of sea breeze in the nose. Faint oyster taste and light touch of iron but with more body than Dauvissat AOC usually has. Very good still for its age and perfectly drinkable. One bottle with broken wax seal completely oxidated and undrinkable, second bottle just delicious.
