April 28, 2015 - Menthol on the nose. On the palate, black cherry and blackberry with notes of anise and olive tapenade, with lightly sandy tannins and good acidity on the medium to long finish. Excellent value for the money at a bit over $40.

October 18, 2014 - Ripe fruit and herbs on the nose. Black fruit in the mouth with a heavy dose of herbs and earth. Very together. Lower acidity, still decent tannin, long finish. Nice!

June 30, 2013 - Big red fruit, leather and spice. Hugely structured, with a velvety texture up front and long pleasing finish. High tannins here and some mighty acid, will benefit from several more years in the bottle and will drink for decades (drink 2018-2030). Traditional brunello production style, likely slavonian oak. Great brunello in this price range, with a lot of future potential. Definitely makes me want to try the Riserva from this producer. :: IWM Brunello Tasting 6/29/13

September 14, 2011 - The nose showed dark red fruits with meaty, spicy notes. On the palate, it was elegant yet structured with blackberry, sour reds, leather and herbs. The long finish showed concentrated red fruits against velvety tannin. This bottle is still so young and should mature into something very beautiful.
