May 10, 2020 - This Charles Cimicky Shiraz Reserve 2008 remains among my favourite wines though admittedly this vintage is likely past its peak. The wine is a deep inky colour with fast legs. There was heavy sediment in the bottle. The nose was mineral, forest floor, stoniness, oak and black pepper. The full bodied wine tasted similar to its aroma. It had a leathery texture with a long finish. The acidity was perfect for pairing with a spicy tenderloin. I guess I need to drink my last bottle soon. Cheers.

September 27, 2019 - Wonderful wine drinking now. Still has AFEW years but at its peak

September 16, 2017 - Light body to this Shiraz. Pepper and chocolate notes show through but flavours are not strong. Paired this with ribs and unfortunately the food overpowered it so perhaps it was a bad match. Nothing particularly memorable about the wine.

September 30, 2016 - Nose: spicy, deep red fruits. Oak, molasses.
Palette: smooth and a little dry. Lingering tast of smoke and oak. Cherries, red berries. Some sweetness.

March 8, 2015 - Dark purple and opaque with a mature reddish brown at the edge of the glass. The nose is comprised of rich ripe fruit that is dominated by jammy strawberries, plumb and a touch of vanilla. The mouth feel is full bodied with soft round tannins. This wine is drinking very well. 5+13+16+8=92
