April 15, 2022 - Color is rich straw, leaning towards a golden hue. Nose is very muted right after pour, with just a hint of oxidation. As it opens up, getting hints of white peach, honeysuckle, and a slight undertone of Marzipan. On the palate, it has a full, rich body. Primarily stone fruit, but also a noticeable honey/caramel side to it. Acid is still good, but “almost” not enough to keep the wine lean. Long, honeysuckle finish. This is actually good bottle wine, right at the end of its sweet spot.

August 21, 2021 - A wine that was "lost" in a corner of a cellar and stored in good but far from optimal conditions, this was surprisingly tasty on night one but it was dead by night two. Characteristic Northern Rhone white, with deep yellow color, obvious oxidation, white peach aromas and an intense peach / nectarine pit flavor. Good acid, succulent, round, full bodied. I am sure that this would have been much better if younger and stored properly. Decent QPR.

August 13, 2017 - The nose initially says white burgundy, but the mouth says marsanne loud and clear with a lovely honeydew wash and slightly russet apple highlights. A cool, somewhat savory minerality lingers for quite a while. So natural with flaky white fish. Quality stuff!

Pale yellow in the glass.
Dry
Moderate aromatics - earthy and waxy. Mushroom. Lees. Slight reduction. Almond - slight oxidized nuttiness.
Slight oak on the palate.
Dry, medium plus alcohol, medium acid, bitterness - phenolic.
Slight impression of new oak - mostly used.
diminished acid, neutral, and slight oak:
N Rhone marsanne-roussane.
This smells and tastes familiar - It's the Chapoutier Crozes-H blanc, isn't it. Yep. -

October 16, 2016 - Rainy day Blinds on a Sunday - Adv. Exam Prep for MH (Home (Noe st)): (blind)
Medium straw- hint of yellow.
Crazy nose - elevated intensity, aromatic, oak influence, nutty and slightly oxidized. Slight reduction/peach stone fruit.
Palate:
- dry, medium plus body, slight touch of texture/viscosity.
- Oak - nutty oak.
- phenolic bitterness.
- M + acid.
Neutral with oxidation and oak --> White Rioja and N Rhone. The bitterness, modest acid, and lack of overt american oak influence leads me to:
N Rhone - maybe Crozes-hermitage blanc, marsanne-roussanne blend, 2013
Close! Vintage was off.
