August 25, 2021 - It took a long time, but finally tasting really great !!
The cork was perfect after over a decade in the bottle, easily removed. This balanced Pinot Noir was consumed over two days. Dark ruby color with no oxidation, clarity medium. Aromas of cherry and pomegranate, silky flavors of red fruit compote, rhubarb, and baking spice and a pleasant medium finish. Popped and poured, this wine was much more soft and integrated on day two and had not fallen apart. Great fruit made into a balanced Pinot Noir from the winemaker's family namesake home vineyard in the Chalone appellation. Great winemaking from Rob Jensen and Bill Brouseau at Testarossa. Truly a roller coaster wine; I did not think much of it upon release, but now it is delicious. This Pinot Noir is an age worthy wine, needs time, and may have many more years of life left. I still have one more bottle of this vintage remaining; I may open it in a year or so to verify my tasting note.

January 19, 2013 - Just doesn't develop like most Testarossas. Decent nose and approach but falls flat and has a thin finish.
