May 2, 2022 - Drinking wonderfully still 23 years later. Had the nose and taste of an older old world Bordeaux. Went wonderfully with a roast beef dinner.

November 2, 2018 - Very nice and elegant wine. Old world Bordeaux style with good acidity some light fruit, cassis and a little vanilla and a medium finish. Still drinking well.

November 22, 2017 - Very nice and elegant wine with old world character. Not fruit forward but notes cassis and smokiness with well integrated tannins and still tasting well. Cork was a little dry and broke down when opening so had to decant through a mesh strainer. Still tasted wonderful and opened up even more after a few hours and this still has a few more years left in the bottle. Can’t believe how well this aged for an 18 year old bottle.

April 23, 2011 - 5th Annual Burgers and Cabernets: Enjoyed non-blind at a tasting; provenance and handling unkown. Very nice old world nose of cassis and cigar box. More of the same on the palate with some sour fruit just before the finish. Cassis at the beginnning of the very long finish and rubber at the end. Very enjoyable wine with some life left but ready to drink. (I'm not entirely convinced this is the correct wine for this note as I thought the bottle indicated Bacchus vineyard).
