January 4, 2016 - Light medium gold color. PNP, drank 2 glasses over 2 hours. Very nice nose, bursts with bright pear and white flowers, citrus, melon, and now subtle oak. The palate is quite energetic, lush with pretty green orchard fruits, lemon and hints of white peach. The texture is round and a a bit voluptuous with being cloying. This doesn't strike me as buttery now, it seems more about the fruit as the oak has melded well now. I thought this was just delicious now and even better and more resolved than 3 years ago. I wouldn't rush to drink these, they can satisfy for several years more.

November 20, 2015 - Past it's prime. Still has the oaky front and mid palet but loses some creamy butter flavor Rombauer is known for. The citric acid is more prevalent than lactic. Just seems like it wasn't on the leas long enough. Still a fan of the vineyard just not this bottle.
