  December 14, 2018 - In my opinion, VA's grape is Petit Verdot, not Cabernet Franc. I find that an aged VA Petit Verdot is similar to drinking a CA Cab, but at less cost. The wine is full bodied still with backbone and luscious dark red fruits.
  
  If you ever get the opportunity purchase some Petit Verdot from VA and lay down for at least 5-8 years prior to drinking. You will be rewarded.

  January 30, 2015 - Deep and well-built, this inky colored Petit Verdot leads with ripe black and purple fruit aromas and flavors intermixed with scorched earth, light floral tones, and a touch of spice. It is round and expansive in the mouth, with firm yet well-integrated tannins, gaining weight and richness through the long, pleasing finish. Overall, this is an appealing wine that shows focus, nuance, and balance that is perfect for sharing with family and friends at the dinner table. It’s accessible now, but should develop nicely over time. Approximately 4 barrels of this wine were produced. Other info: 100% Petit Verdot, matured for 20 months in French oak barrels -- 50% new, cork enclosure. 14.5% ABV.
