January 6, 2024 - Dark ruby red with pink rim. Strawberry, raspberry, blackcurrant, cedar, zesty, spices, floral, liquorice, tobacco and herbs. Full bodied, medium-high acidity, medium-high structure, medium-high tannin, and medium-high alcohol. Bold, complex and elegant. Wine on the cusp on entering tertiary phase. Long sweet peppery finish.

This bottle had a lot of cellaring potential ahead of it.

January 2, 2017 - As always, this wine benefits from a few hours of air. Dark fruits and earth dominate. This particular bottle lacked the character of previous bottles. One left that I'm saving for a lamb dish, should be a tremendous pairing.

July 27, 2014 - Dusty fruit nose. Blackberry / Marionberry moving straight towards minerality . Long finish. Some tannin remaining. Really nice, impressive.

March 30, 2014 - A bit funky on the nose and initial mouthfeel, but really opened up - smooth and velvety.

I think it might've been a slightly irregular bottle - as I've had this in the past with better results.

March 20, 2013 - Pop and pour. Dark garnet on the color. Dark fruit on the nose. SMooth, a little tannic with spice and a little chocoloate to taste. Good finish. At $30 a pop, not a great QPR, otherwise, a good daily drinker.
