January 9, 2023 - A lovely, transparent violet color with a dark core. Violets and cherries on the expressive nose. Finely etched fruit on the palate, black cherries, strawberries, a hint of blackberry. Burst of cherry fruit on the mid-palate. Fine tannins, beautifully balanced acidity. Picks up weight with time in the glass. Finishes long and elegant. Just lovely. Drink next 6 to 8 years.

November 11, 2020 - Expressive nose displaying concentrated black fruit with a hint of red, blackberry, a hint of cherry, mocha, sap, rose, cedar/oak and earth. Very good concentration, nicely layered black fruit, rich, bright acidity, still noticeable tannins and a long black fruit driven finish with cedar and roasted coffee bean at the end. This remains still young and needs another decade to reach the peak.

June 17, 2020 - Med red brick hue. Delicate red fruit and oak aromas. Clearly an old world pinot on the palate with a unique flavor note that others have referred to as Vosne spice possibly. Cherries and raspberries. I think this wine opened up more the next day revealing a nice but delicate complexity. Very different than California pinots but equally as delicious.

March 21, 2020 - At the mid-stage of development. Medium expressive nose displaying ripe blackberry, a hint of dark spices, rose, sap, mushroom and earthy mineral. Medium concentration, slightly muted black fruit, unctuous, noticeable acidity that is slightly disjointed, slightly rustic tannins and a medium long black fruit driven finish. The fruit is slightly coiled at the moment and not much development of sous bois. Still needs another decade or longer.
