October 22, 2023 - The nose is exceptional! On the palate a little less forthcoming - maybe 96. I'm not sure it improves much from here but no hurry to drink up.

March 26, 2023 - Burgundy Bachelor Party: Gorgeous floral and spice aromas, stood out amongst very tough competition. The palate not quite as beguiling as the aroma but still excellent. This should keep and probably improve for a decade or more.

January 1, 2023 - Totally agree with Topper. Amazing detail, power and finesse all at the same time. Not as flamboyant as 00, 01 or 02, but somehow more sophisticated. Forward today but enough substance that this will continue to evolve positively.

December 26, 2022 - My third and last bottle of this and they were remarkably consistent over a ten year period. This one was just starting to have some secondary notes to balance out the cherry, currant and chestnut. Exceedingly complex and still quite powerful. I don't know if it will get better, in fact I suspect not as the fruit is what powers this wine. Kaleidoscopic and with a glorious finish that goes on and on. Pure Leroy magic.

March 9, 2020 - In the words of the semi-famous somm who opened this at the Paulee Gala - " This wine does not suck". Even better than when tasted two years ago, this is the very best cherry coke you ever dreamed of. the only thing that keeps it from an even higher score is the absence, so far, of much secondary notes. Don't know if they will come or not. I'll open my last one in anther 2-3 years to see if it keeps on getting better.

March 9, 2019 - La Paulée de New York Gala Dinner (Pier Sixty - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. Floral with bold red fruit throughout. Dense, fleshy and long. Wonderful Grand Cru, but let me nit pick...it seemed more Vosne than Corton.

February 12, 2018 - Aromatically similar to the '00, with plenty of Hoisin, beef stock and ginger. It is perhaps a little more floral and certainly tightens in the glass. There's real depth here and a finish that is carried by tangy acidity. Still a baby.

December 17, 2017 - Has a lot of what makes Leroy wines great: rich blackberry fruit with cherry cola and tons of grip. Power is there but very slightly held back by the Corton fruit. More restrained than the Richebourg or RSV from the same year which is not to say that this a restrained wine. My WOTN but some in the group thought it was slightly outshone by the 02 DRC RSV. It is always a shame to have to pick a preference among such terrific wines.

November 13, 2017 - My first Leroy Corton. What a voluptuous wine. This was the Raquel Welch of the evening. Nose wasn't forthcoming but palate was explosive with long finish. Disappeared too fast.
