March 2, 2024 - Some nice Burgundies (Chicago, IL): Approachable now despite the reputation of Vogüé; certainly in no rush though. The brilliant red fruit of the vintage is on display here, and while there's of course the archetypal burliness, I do really enjoy the intensity and power of this wine. Quite prominent tannins, that will likely outlive the fruit, but all-round impressive weight and complexity. Feels very much like that cliché of an iron fist in a velvet glove.

November 11, 2022 - First of 3. Rich earth. Fabulous effect on overall wellbeing the next day. Elixir.

January 22, 2022 - All three times we've opened this vintage, I've found it expressive and appealing. A nice vintage that's fine for early consumption.

September 20, 2020 - Pure elegance. Naturally very youthful with lots of primary fruit, but all the pieces are well integrated and showing beautifully. Gave it lots of air and it showed its class. Lovely experience now, but drink 2030-2040+.

August 19, 2019 - We decided to try another one early. Drinking well for a 2010, and if you want to try one for early drinking this is a good candidate.
